The Supreme Student Council - 28th Congress of the University of San Jose-Recoletos launched an Offsite Voter’s Registration Survey for the 2010 Elections in partnerships with COMELEC from May 13-19, 2009.

From May 13-15, 2009, the SSC officers conducted an information dissemination campaign. COMELEC has obliged the SSC 28th Congress to make a survey for the event and was tasked to have at least five hundred respondents to the survey coming from the eight districts of Cebu City and the Cebu Province.

On May 19, 2009, the Council set up a registration kiosk at the USJ-R Main Campus’ main lobby. Enthusiastic students lined up and filled out the papers that contained the needed information for the survey.

This activity is the Josenian’s response for the campaign for more active involvement among the youth in exercising their right to suffrage. The Josenian students consider the 2010 elections as an arrow in a quiver in the middle of economic and moral turmoil. Indeed, genuine politics would bolster reforms in the country.

USJ-R’s SSC 28th Congress is now up for the COMELEC Registration on its SSC Awareness Week in July.
